Base and battery holes preparation,

Structure

1, The base for the pole is made of cast in concrete whose standard is C20,its size depends on the pole height, the local wind speed and its environmental factors;

2, The Anchor is welded with the steel pieces and module into a square shape. Its size is depending on the installation hole distance of the pole flange. You should put the Anchor into the concrete base first. When the concrete is ready, it needs something to make it stable to prevent deformation.

3,Batterystoring hole is surrounded with red brick walls, with small sands on the ground level, and the cast-in cement board on the top, the hole size is depending on battery sizes and its quantity.

4, The battery wire pipe, put a PVC pipe inside the concrete base. The pipe size is depending on the base depth, battery hole depth and the path that the wires will go.

 
Construction

1, The base level is paralleling to the road surface, the Anchor is paralleling or vertical to the middle line of the road.

2, The base hole size should be10cmlarger than the size shown in the diagram, when the base hole is ready, tamp the soil of the ground level down tightly, put the sands or gravel of 3-5cmon the bottom of base hole.

3, The brick wall in the battery hole is made of red bricks, the wall thickness is about10-12cm,put the small sands (thickness of8cm)on the ground(the hole depth depends on the local climate(to check its tundra thickness, as the batteries should be buried under the tundra),

4, Make the module frame according to the base in the diagram, using the building templates, fix the Anchor and the pipe for the battery wires in the templates(the pipe top should be4cmhigher above the base and well covered/protected), then pour down the concrete into the building templates;

5, Make the brick walls with the red bricks in the battery hole, pre-set a gap of about 10*20cmfor the battery wire pipe, right to the pipe in the concrete, put the small sands on the ground of the battery hole, put the batteries right in the centre of the hole, hill in the hole with the small sands, the sands will be10cmhigher above the battery top surface,(the battery top surface will be50cmlower than the ground surface).

6, Pulling the battery wires out: pull the battery wires to the pipe top in the base through the gap, the pipe inside the base, then put the cast-in cement board on the battery hole top.

Installation Step:

Put the pole beside the base, raise the pole top with a height frame or lump. Prepare the installation tools and equipments (including AVO meter, leveling instrument, compass, monkey wrench, an Allen key, screwdriver, wirepuller, tapeline, Mooring rope, lifting equipments or Skylift and so on.)

1,Install Solar Panel

1), According to the diagram, be familiar with each component’s connecting order and the wiring path;

2), Align at the solar panel locating hole and the connection locating hole, put stainless steel screws, washers and nuts in the locating holes, fix them with monkey wrench, fix the connection and solar panel bracket together; (when installing, pay attention to the direction of solar panel, ordinarily speaking, the longitudinal direction of solar panel in the same with the dip angle direction, the horizontal direction of solar panel is perpendicular to the dip angle direction.)

3), Place the bracket obliquely, thread the solar panel wire into the connection, and outlet it, install the solar panel (its back facing to bracket) onto the bracket. fix stainless steel screws, washers and nuts in the installation hole, toughen them with a monkey wrench, fix solar panel in the bracket;

4) Thread the solar panel wires from the pole top with wire puller or iron chain, inside the pole, extend the wires to the access panel, equip connection (with the solar panel on), fix the screws with a monkey wrench, fix the connection in the pole.

2. Install Lamp Head

1). Use a wire puller or iron chain to thread the light head wire through the lamp arm and the pole to the access panel, align at the horizontal locating installation hole of lamp arm an pole, toughen with stainless steel screws, fix the lamp arm on the pole:

2). Open the lamp head, loosen the locating buckle, put the lamp head onto the arm, adjust the horizontal and longitudinal direction of lamp head, toughen the screws with an allen key, fix the lamp head on the lamp arm.

3. Install Controller

a. Read the wiring diagram in the installation instruction, according to the connection identification, understand the relation between each components;

b. According to the identification of system wiring diagram, connect the waterproof connector of solar panel wire to the related connector of controller, which has a “solar” identification; and connect the one of battery wire to the related connector of controller, which has”battery” identification .So does the LED lamp waterproof connector, it is connected to the connector with “LED” identification.

c. When connecting the LED lamp waterproof connector, please pay attention to the connecting direction of the two connectors, the two slot position should be in the same direction, and connect together for each two.

4. Test before raising the Whole Light

a. In accordance with the wiring diagram, connect each part’s connector;

b. When covering the solar panel or disconnecting it with the whole lighting, the lamp will be on, if not, please check the connection of wire and waterproof terminals to see if you have connected the connectors right, and check whether the solar panel has been covered totally.

c. Test the light control function. Cover the solar panel, the lamp will be on, which means light control function is ok.

5. Raise the pole

a. Lift the whole light with strings knotted on the top of the light using lifting equipment and moves the flange of the pole to the base with flange installation hole matched with base holder’s screw and then put the washers and screws in and screw them with monkey wrench.

b. When lifting pole, please note that the installation direction of the lamp head.

6. Adjusting

a. Adjusting the lamp head to make sure the lighting arrive the ground at a suitable angle.

b. Adjust the angle of panel to make it face the equator directly, tolerance of 2 is allowed.(use a compass to adjust)

7. Fill in the base hole.

a. Put controller inside the pole through the access panel, screw it up with screwdriver.

b. Clean the base, fill in the interspaces with the soil and ram the soil down tight.

Notes:

1.       When making the base, raising the pole, please protect well the threads of the Anchor, caver its threads with electric tape or transparent tape, do not spoilt the screw-thread.

2.       When connecting the waterproof connectors, please pay attention to the colorlength of cables (long to long, short to short), the same model connectors connect together.

3.       Forbid to connect the battery positive with its negative.

4.       When connecting wires, firstly connect each part’s waterproof connectors right, then toughen the nuts; no reverse to the light head connector.

5.       When raising the pole, Safety First, advise to use professional Skylift.

6.       The wires of each part should be disentangled smoothly.
